Facing Eviction w/ Perm Disability
Donation protected
(I have included this photo of my right foot after my last day at worked on March 20, 2018.)
It is with humbleness and trepidation that I share a bit of my life in hopes that you will assist me in this time of need. I know I will receive negative criticism from family members, but they are same people who would not lift a finger to help.
The past few years have been challenging, but this past year was debilitating & the worst I have ever gone through.
*I have been unable to work due to a permanent partial disability.
*I had an accident at work and was sent to get an MRI where I was electrocuted.
*I wound up at Cedar-Sinai Emergency after being electrocuted almost having a heart attack.
*I have been in pain 24/7 and seen more than a dozen doctors & specialists.
*My mother passed away in February 2018.
*I can not stand or sit for more two hours at a time due to severe swelling, bruising and pain in my right leg.
*I have Edema, poor blood circulation and possibility of blood clots.
*I was sent to Cedar-Sinai Emergency by another doctor and they found a baker's cyst under my right knee cap.
*I am still going to my thyroid cancer follow-ups from having my thyroid removed from thyroid cancer.
*I also now am taking two three prescriptions: Losartan for high blood pressure, Levothyroxine to make up for no thyroid,
and Naproxen for pain and swelling.
In addition to all of that...
*I have been very depressed. I try not to burden anyone or be a downer, and I am trying my best to rise above it.
*I have been discriminated against, mistreated, ridiculed, and forced to quit my last job.
*While still employed & on workman's comp, my mother was admitted to the ICU in Las Vegas, Nevada, and I took a LOA while
still injured, helped care for my mom until her passing.
*Returned to work in March 2018 and was informed that my LOA to help my mom had not been approved though
I was in constant communication & keep providing the proper documentation.
*All of my benefits were taken away: PTO, 401K payments, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Eye Insurance and Life Insurance.
* My work station had been discarded.
*I really had nothing left at work and I was forced to quit.
*I cashed out my 401K to survive.
*I was sent an email advising me that I would not be paid for my last day worked, or my mother's bereavement, or my LOA.
The good thing is...
*I have a great attorney.
*I got medi-cal.
*I am now receiving food assistance (SNAP)
*And general relief, it is a small amount, but it is something.
...today, Thursday, October 11, 2018, I am typing this Go Fund Me page as I just received my 3 day pay or quit. And trust me, they want me out because I am on rent control. I have been at the same place for 25 years. I love my place and I can not afford to lose it, or lose my car, or have the electricity be shut off.
Idea on this last ditch effort...
*My friend, Cristina had an idea of what to ask, and though I thought it was great, I hesitated....but now, I have three days only! She also suggested adding an amount that would cover the next few months, since my disability is being negotiated.
*So since I have well over 5000 friends from both facebook sites: Antonio's Artistry and Antonio Rael, I was going to ask each of you if you could donate $2, the cup of a coffee. If 65-70% of the people donate just $2 to help me, I will be covered and not be homeless, and be able to keep my car. So here I am today, asking in a very humble way if you can spare $2.
A little about me though most of you know me...
(I am not a lazy person. I have always been a high achiever, an honest worker and involved in my community. I have taught over 5000 children art. I have worked as an actor. I have donated to dozens of non-profit organizations and was a co-founder of another. I have worked in the cosmetics, fine fragrance and skin care industry the past 12 years, and I really loved my job. And I do not regret any decision I have made in my life because I know that I have made a difference in people's lives. And as difficult as this is, I am in a situation, where I must humbly ask for your help. I have worked too hard to lose what little I have due to health problems & loss. )
I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I promise that I will pay it forward someday.
Sending you love & light.
