Low Income Housing
Katie’s House provides 2 low income housing units, one for adult women and the other for adult men with intellectual disabilities. The houses are located in Sussex County New Jersey. Individuals living at the houses have funding that pays for staff to oversee their needs. The responsibilities of staff are to bring house members to activities, volunteer work, grocery shopping,laundry, cooking, and cleaning. The homes provide a safe place for house members.
Center For Advancement
Education/Habilitation
Katie’s House is an approved agency by the State of NJ for Education/ Habilitation provided to adults with intellectual disabilities. Classes are: Dance Classes, Sign Language and Cooking Classes. Individuals have the opportunity to learn to communicate with sign when speech is not understandable, dance helps with balance and strength and cooking classes help clients understand their is more to life then the microwave.

The Service Group
Adults with disabilities are given the opportunity to give back to the community in The Service Group by collecting new toys for pediatric oncology patients, new and used items for homeless families and food for local food banks.
Children/Families served—1014 since 2007.
The Friendship Group and Circle of Friends
When reaching the age of 21 and school is finished, many of our young adults with disabilities have nothing to do. Both The Friendship Group and Circle of Friends provide Friday Night activities that allow for socializing with peers in a supervised, safe setting while being out in the community. Ages from 17-40.
Clients served weekly – 20-30 weekly.
