Buy crisis food gosport their own van

As some of you will know I run a food organisation called crisis food gosport, located in the south of england. We have been supplying food directly into the community since march 2020 at the start of the global pandemic. We source our food from fareshare and other more local organisations and our fareshare food comes with a membership fee. We cover this by asking for a minimal donation on our food hampers. Our hampers are impressive and some families can make them last well over a week. As with anything our mission comes with overheads, electricity Bill's to keep the freezers running, van hire to collect food and then delivery the hampers. The van hire company we use have been absolutely fantastic all the way through but now, thankfully business is on the up for them and they are starting to recover. Crisis food gosport is in desperate need of their own van, for several reasons. We could collect more food on more days, we regularly have to decline offers of food as we cant collect it. Having more food would mean we could reach out and support more people.
We could use the van as storage as space is at a premium. It would just make our mission that much more easier. We could do more, deliver more, collect more. Our group has nearly two thousand members and each one of those need our support. We would also save some money in the long run and be entirely self sufficient. We think this bad situation is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, we have more and more people joining our group daily and we just keep growing and growing.
8 thousand pounds sounds like an awful lot of money but in reality its what's needed to buy a large high top long wheel base van in excellent condition and mechanically sound. We would also like to have it sign written with our name and let more people know who we are and what we do.
Every single pound will help get us to our target. Even if you can only afford just 1 pound we would be eternally grateful.
