A group of boys have been chosen to represent Bucksburn Academy at the Schools World Cup in Barcelona from 9th - 13th October 2025.

The cost of travel, accommodation, food etc per child is approximately £1000. To help fundraise for the trip, the boys have decided as a group that they are going to do a “run to Barcelona” fundraiser. This is first and foremost great fitness for the squad, but also a great opportunity for raising money to help take down the cost of the trip. The total distance to Barcelona is 2448 km from Bucksburn academy. The trip is 22 weeks away, so this totals to 7 km a week per person.

The boys have set up a Strava group to monitor everyone’s progress.
