Brooke Avery Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On the evening of October 12th, while in the care of a babysitter, 2 year old Brooke Avery Tonkin was attacked by a dog-- sustaining life threatening wounds to the left side of her beautiful little face.
After the wonderful Wilson hospital staff stabilized Brooke and made her comfortable with pain medication, the doctors decided the best route was to send Brooke via ambulance to Galisano Children's Hospital in Syracuse, NY -- where she had her first of many extensive surgeries on her face.
Brooke seems to be fighting hard and recovering well after her first surgery on Friday, October 13th. Reconstructive surgery, possible nerve damage and the high risk for infection are dooming over the family, carrying an uncertainty of when Brooke will be able to come back to Binghamton.
As you can imagine, the parents of Brooke are also facing the reality of financial burden with medical bills and missing several weeks to possibly months of work to spend time with Brooke.
Please consider donating to Brooke's parents, Sara Solian & Kevin Tonkin. In doing so, it will help relieve a great deal of stress-- so that they may focus on spending time with Brooke as she heals.
