Hey everyone, thanks for visiting our page! This is little baby Bronson born on Halloween weighing 7lbs 12oz. We found out at 20 weeks pregnant that Bronson has a severe heart defect called Hypoplastic right heart with pulmonary atresia. I have put a link below explaining more in depth his diagnosis, but basically the entire right side of his heart stopped developing around 6 weeks gestation. When Bronson was born he had a “dicey” (as the doctors called it) procedure done to keep the ductus arteriosis open to continue to allow oxygenated blood to his lungs. A stent was put in but it is just temporary to allow Bronson to grow a little bit. Bronson will be making his way back to Rady children’s hospital in San Diego in about a month to undergo open heart surgery to fix the arteries in the top part of his heart and then he will have another open heart surgery around 3 years of age to finish the repairs on the arteries in the bottom of his heart. After we are done with these steps we hope to be on the road of health and happiness!
