On October 19th, my father Franklin was admitted to Stanford Medical Center because of chronic stomach and back pain. Once admitted, he was taken directly to ICU where my family was informed he had a serious infection that started in his abdomen and was spreading throughout his body at an alarming rate; we were told he may only have days to live.
My dad, Franklin, has been battling an uphill medical fight for the last 15 years. His medical history ranges from an aorta aneurysm , over 20 surgeries, kidney disease and his most recent and serious battle with stage 4 kidney cancer. One would never know my dad had such battles unless you sat down and talked to him or my family.
To many he is known for his kindness and great sense of humor. Anyone he comes into contact knows he is a loving father, devoted husband but most of all an inspiration. He loves sports, bowling and his true passion is in the kitchen cooking.
My dad surpassed what doctors thought would be his last days being a true walking inspiration to the medical community. I have personally set this page up for those who would like to donate towards his growing medical bills, wish him a speedy recovery or just because you want to help my father out of the kindness of your heart. Thank you all and God Bless.
