Hello all! My name is Delia Li, and I am newly married to a handsome and wonderful human being, Julian Reeves as of November 11, 2025. We first met at Indiana University over Cards Against Humanity, in the freshman dorm rooms in 2019.

6 years down the road, we have both grown since our college days, and went on to pursue our own paths. Julian moved to Portland, Oregon, USA, in 2024, to reach his goal of playing professional ultimate frisbee and to explore the beautiful nature of the West Coast with his best friend, Lucas "the goat" Coniaris. And I, won my position as a second violinist in the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra in Alberta, Canada in 2024. So, I moved here there on my own and opened up a new chapter of my life which also includes music production, and teaching violin.

We finally reached a point in our relationship of wanting to spend life together in one city, or country. And so we decided to marry, just like we dreamt of in our early relationship days. Now, the next step is to get Julian a Permanent Residence Status through Spousal Sponsorship. This is where we ask for your help!

Rather than the traditional wedding gift route, instead we would really appreciate funds to support his move to Canada that we plan to happen within the next year. This would include the cost of the application itself ($950 CAD/ $674 USD), as well as immigration lawyer fees (approximately $1000-4000 CAD/ $709-2838 USD). We would also like to use the remaining funds to pay for moving costs, and costs for 2-3 round trips between Portland and Edmonton in 2026, as we are still long distance during this time.

Finally, if you find yourself not financially free to support us, that is okay <3. Instead, we would love if you can spread word about Julian's independent grant writing services. Julian is on year 3 of grant analyst work, currently working for Indiana University's Vice Provost's Office for Research Administration. He has reviewed grants processed through Indiana University, with grant sums as high as $5M USD, involving all fields such as the sciences, the arts, and technology.
