Bring Bella Safely Home
Donation protected
We are a military family, & have been stationed in Korea for over a year and a half. I started fostering puppies once I found out my old girl Penney would not be with us for the duration of our tour. I couldn't imagine life without a dog in it. Penney passed away, and along came Bella a few weeks later. She was rescued from a dog meat farm, and I brought her home from a local shelter when she was 6 weeks old. I trained her and gave her all of the love she needed until she was ready to go to her forever family, and she was finally adopted, or so we thought. After over a month of her being with her new family, the shelter made a grim discovery. Bella was being severely neglected, and her new owners hadn't even officially adopted her. They were holding her hostage, refusing to reply to anyone, and never brought her to the vet for her check-ups. With help from the shelter representative and a couple local advocates, we were able to get her out of there and back into my home safely. Sadly, she was in rough shape. I was able to get her medicine from the vet for a severe staph infection that has destroyed her skin and taken chunks of her beautiful white fur away, and she is also enjoying ALL of the treats to help her gain some much needed weight. She is getting spayed tomorrow (June 29), and I am officially adopting her. Unfortunately, we were not expecting to bring an animal home with us when we PCS back to the United States, which is one month from now. Our flights were already booked, and thanks to the pandemic animal slots are very limited and very expensive. Bella will have to stay in Korea with a temporary foster until we are released from quarantine in Texas mid-August. The furthest she can fly is Dallas, and then a ground transportation company has to pick her up from the airport and drive her another 9 hours to Ft. Bliss, where we will be stationed. Please help me save this beautiful girl. She deserves so much love and happiness, and my family needs to be the humans who can give her all of it. Anything you can spare during these tough times would be appreciated, and if you cannot afford to donate, PLEASE share the link. Thank you so much!
