Brian and Conor Belfast Marathon 2024
Donation protected
Myself ( Brian Caherty) and Conor Watters have decided to take on the challenge of The Belfast City Marathon (26.2 Miles) on Sunday 5th May 2024 to raise much needed funds to support the funding and expansion of our gym at St Michael’s GFC Newtownhamilton.
It is extra special that this new gym will be named in memory of our fellow player Dylan Vallely who we sadly lost to a road traffic accident at the end of last year. It is hoped this new gym will help inspire and develop our players for the future and serve the clubs members and community. To mark the day we will be running in jerseys that Dylan designed himself before his accident.
Neither of us have ever attempted to run a half marathon, so it’s only logical we try and do a full marathon first time of asking which is sure be a hard ask. We have been putting in many hours training on the road as possible to ensure we give it our best go and do ourselves, club and Dylan proud.
As part of this fundraiser we will also be making a donation to the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance as this is the chosen charity of the event organisers this year. We would appreciate any support or donations small or big.
Many Thanks Brian & Conor
