Brandy's Cancer Fight

Donation protected
Brandy went to the ER on July 25th with severe abdominal pain. A "lesion" was found on her colon and they scheduled her for a colonoscopy the following week outpatient because she "wasn't sick enough to be in the hospital". The day of the colonoscopy prep, Brandy became violently ill and was transported to the hospital via ambulance. The lesion was found to be a mass that was completely obstructing her colon and she needed emergency surgery. The surgery consisted of removal of the mass along with a large section of her colon, placement of a colostomy, and a wedge resection of her liver. A few days later, a port was installed in her chest for future cancer treatments.

At this time, we are unsure of the exact treatment plan, as we wait for oncology reports and appointments. Sam has put his business on the back burner to manage Brandy's recovery from surgery and navigate this difficult diagnosis. She does have health insurance, but out of pocket expenses are already mounting. Being an ostomate comes with many special needs and supplies that are not covered by insurance and we are unsure where they will need to travel for treatment.

Give if you can, and share if you cannot. Thank you.
