Brandon’s Fight Against Lymphoma

You all know Brandon as a funny, outgoing 28 year old guy who lights up a room with his smile and amazing personality, probably one of the most positive people you’ve ever met!
In late March, after a fun filled week visiting family, the return flight home brought pain to Brandon’s chest. After WEEKS of testing, a mass the size of a softball was discovered in his chest wall, VERY close to his heart, pressing against his Coronary and Pulmonary Arteries. Every time this bull of a man lifted his arms, the mass cut off blood flow to his lungs and heart, making him faint. A biopsy revealed Stage 2 Primary Mediastinal Large B Cell Lymphoma.
He continues to fight this with optimism and good humor, as he must be hospitalized at Mt Sinai Hospital to receive a continuous feed of Doxorubicin, Etoposide, Vincristine and Rituxan for over 90 hours. The main treatment is usually about 6 courses of CHOP chemo plus rituximab (R-CHOP). Every 3 weeks, he must re- enter the hospital to recieve his Chemo: this is estimated to continue for an additional 5 months. After each treatment at Mt Sinai, he must remain house bound, wearing a mask at all times, to prevent infection. For that reason, Brandon cannot work, and has been unemployed for the past 2 months.
This battle is quite costly. Chemotherapy sessions,additional medications, tests and appointments in between are adding up. Unfortunately, insurance only covers a percentage, leaving Brandon with an estimated out of pocket cost
of more than $45,000!!
I'd like to raise money to help him purchase food and pay his rent, utilities, phone bill, Medical Insurance, to pay for tests/scans, doctor appointments , hospital visits/ stays and medications not covered by insurance.
