We desperately need help!!
My daughter (Ayesha) and grandchildren (Benjamin and Alizsha) lost EVERYTHING on Jan. 29th, including their beloved pets. It was a total loss! Off grid, so there is no insurance. All they have left are the clothes they were wearing.
The Bootleg Fire, a year and a half ago destroyed houses and other structures on their previous property. They are still trying to recover from that fire.
Ayesha has worked hard to provide a wonderful, stable, loving home for Benjamin and Alizsha.and now, Preston. Now her heart breaks again, for herself and for her children who have been forced to relive a second nightmare far more devastating than the first.
Ayesha's love and her devotion to her children and her courage to move forward is an enormous example of her character.
My grandchildren, Benjamin and Alizsha are contributing members of our community. They work at HyTyme Drum Horse Ranch in Chiloquin. They have also been participants in 4-H throughout their teenage years. They do not smoke, drink, or use drugs. They are respectful and committed to our family and our pets/animals (dogs, kitties, horses, goats, sheep, chickens and ducks)
My daughter, Ayesha and my grandchildren are wonderful loving selfless human beings and don't deserve these tragedies. Please help them in their time of sorrow and loss. Thank you so much for caring enough to help.

Feb 3,
I just want to update and also thank everyone who has reached out so far. Your support is so welcoming.
The last few days have been filled with tremendous heartache and loss. The emotional torment is indescribable.
The fire marshal does not know where or how the fire started and there probably will be no future investigation because there is no insurance company involved. There was no one home at the time so their pets could not be saved. So far, the remains of most of their pets have been recovered and will be laid in a special resting place.

Yesterday, all of their pets remains were finally recovered (3 precious dogs & 3 precious kitties) They were laid to rest in a special place on private property up on the mountain. A memorial for Amethyst, Lamora, Brindle, Samson, Mandala, and Little Siamese will be developed as a place for comfort and memories.
There are a lot of steps that must be taken before the rebuild begins. Site plans, building permits, etc. and of course, building materials and supplies. The cost of rebuilding must be raised by donations, so it will be a slow process. Every donation, no matter how large or small is warmly and graciously appreciated from our hearts. Thank you so very much.

I would like to share something that some dear friends wrote in a book that they gave Ayesha.....
To Ayesha,
Your service to others, your unconquered spirit and kindness to others is profound. Your "journey" has been and will be of survival value. The only thing that has eternal value is that which contributes to the survival of the soul. Enjoy the journey!

Well, it's been exactly one month since the fire reeked havoc in my family's lives. It has been a trying time for all of us. We have developed a website to help my family to recover and rebuild from their devastating loss. Please go to our website and get to know the Bowen family, Ayesha, Benjamin, and Alizsha. There are a lot of volunteering and fundraising opportunities.

I will continue to update posts as my daughter and grandchildren move along in their healing process and rebuilding their lives.
