Buddhist Prison Program Needs Heat
Donation protected
Bodhi House is a post-release residential program for men who wish to continue study and practice of mindfulness meditation techniques in a spiritual community based on simple living, unselfish service, and daily commitment to principles of mindful living. Currently Bodhi House is facing unfunded expensesexpenses that threaten our ability to operate on a day to day basis. The oil furnace in our 1800s farmhouse is in dire need of replacment. The technician has informed us that it is now dangerous to operate, so we have been using electric space heaters at an incredible expense. Additionally, it is time to replace our our much loved 1996 Saturn with another reliable used car as it has nearly 350,000 miles on it and is ailing.
