The James Hubert Blake High School Boys Varsity Basketball team made history this year by winning the school's first ever 4A state championship. This incredible achievement is the result of countless hours of hard work, dedication, and teamwork from 15 talented players and 6 devoted coaches. For the first time in school history, these young athletes brought home a state title, making their community and school proud.

However, despite this historic victory, the team was informed that the school will not cover the cost of championship rings to commemorate their achievement. The rings are a significant expense, and with 21 rings needed for players and coaches, many families simply cannot afford them. It’s disheartening to see these hardworking athletes and coaches unable to be rewarded for their dedication and success.

We are reaching out to our community and supporters to help us raise the funds needed to provide these championship rings. Your support will help the players and coaches feel recognized for their incredible accomplishment and give them a lasting memory of this once-in-a-lifetime achievement. This is especially meaningful for our 12 seniors, who are graduating this year and experiencing their first and last state championship.
