Blackhawk Museums
Since 1991 the Blackhawk Museums have been dedicated to ensuring that school children have the opportunity to visit the Museum with free admission and by reimbursing school bus costs through our Children’s Education & Transportation Fund.
The Blackhawk Museums has hosted a collection of International Automotive Treasures for over 25 years, showcasing the world’s greatest manufacturers and coachbuilders, demonstrating that the automobile is not only a game changer in terms of world mobility, but a work of art to be admired.
With the February 2015 opening of the new gallery 'The Spirit of The Old West', which tells the story of the expansion west from the early 1700's to the early 1900's, the requests from schools to visit the Museum has significantly increased from schools throughout Contra Costa and Alameda counties, and around the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The historical subject of the exhibition is part of the school curriculum.
Bus transportation fees for a school class average to $600.00 per visit.
We ask that you join us in our effort to continue to raise money to support the funding of the school bus reimbursement program by contributing to our Children’s Education and Transportation Fund.
