Who I am:

My name is Kayson/Maleek and I appreciate you coming to my GoFundMe to either share or donate.

I grew up in the most conservative part of my state raised by a single mother to two. I always knew I was different but it wasn’t until I actually saw a transman on YouTube that I knew where I belonged. I have been out since 2015 and living openly amongst the world. I’m a writer, a poet, and astrologer. I’ve worked throughout the community in my local area helping other trans people get on hormones and start their process for transitioning. I pride myself in being not only a support for other trans queer people but also being a sword and shield for my fellow black trans people out there as well during protests and any/other mass gatherings.


Why I Need Your Help:

I originally had this GoFundMe up in order to help with aftercare for my top surgery and while eventually I will need to crowd fund for that again I am in more immediate need for relocation. After a year and a half of dealing with poor electrical connection causing only my apartment to lose electricity for hours and sometimes days at a time, racist and triggering (constant domestic abuse) neighbors and negligence from both the former landlord and current property management, I have no choice but to leave. My property manager has refused to assist me with a transfer to a different property within their company and no longer wants to assist with the electrical issues fully. 

The electrical issues and my neighbors constantly throwing things at my windows, messing with my car, and amongst many MANY other things like smoking cigarettes over a full gas container in front of both our apartments, this has become my #1 priority to relocate above all. I currently work from home as most people do in these times, and these outside factors have been interfering immensely with my work and I fear losing my main source of income over factors I cannot control. I fear that my neighbors harassment will continue and possibly worsen the longer I stay in this apartment. 

Another issue I’m currently facing is that my car is on the brink of breaking down. My transmission is failing and I do not have enough money to get this repaired as this will be a 2,000$+ repair. This money will be partly used to assist me with a down payment for a car so I am able to move my things  and commune.
