My name is LeVar Eady and I am a cultivator that wants to build a legacy while doing something I love. My passion is a passion shared by my ancestors and I want to keep that tradition alive.

I am a cultivator, scientist, medical professional and podcaster. I have been working in commercial agriculture for the last 5 years but have been growing for 15 years, studied organic and sustainable farming practices in various growing environments. In 2017 I attended and completed Uptima business acceleration program that helps provide entrepreneurs with knowledge to have profit and sustainable businesses. During that same time I attend Hood incubators which is based in Oakland and they support black and brown cannabis entrepreneurs with business education. Black farm ownership is at only 2% in the United States. I have found land to start my own CBD/ traditional produce farm while trying to create an ecosystem for other minorities to flourish with partnership or investment opportunities in New Mexico.

I dream of the day when I am working on my own land, cultivating my own land. Land ownership has seemed like a unicorn due to not having the capital or network that has access to capital. The goal is to build an ecosystem for my farm to be profitable and sustainable.

A seed fund to begin a small scale farm is the starting point and you can help.

The seed fund money would be allocated towards:
- Down payment on 3-10 acre property
- Purchasing of farm equipment
- Infrastructure needs like greenhouse, fencing, irrigation and storage

The location for the farm would be preferable in New Mexico where I have a large network of small entrepreneurs mostly minorities or people of color that my farm could work with to create the ecosystem mentioned above. Regardless of where the farm is we will fosters and support minority/POC businesses, organizations and communities.

I am asking for your support in giving me the ability to become a black entrepreneurs and live my dream. The farm will provide opportunities for me but countless others businesses and people.
