2017 Cancer Fighters Toy Drive
Donation protected
Dear family, friends and community
A lot has changed since my last Toy Drive. My name is Daniel Alvarado and this year (2017), it's my 8th Annual Toy Drive for Cancer Fighters.
The Toy Drive was started in honor of my brother, Diego, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2010.
Going to Children's Hospital to see my brother, made me realize that the kids didn't have the ability to go out and celebrate Christmas.
I lost my brother Diego on December 17, 2016. That really put a dent in my Toy Drive since I needed to deliver the toys to the Cancer Fighters 2 days after he passed.
That is when you, family, friends and the community helped me gather more than 1,700 toys for Cancer Fighters. It was one of the saddest moments of my life, but it was also one of the greatest. Why, you may ask; because I could honor my brother's name by still following through his expression "Never give up, and keep trying".
This Toy Drive will be a little bit more special than the last few, and there will be many mixed emotions running through my body, but mostly, I will be happy knowing I am keeping my brother's legacy alive.
To make this happen, I need your help. Please donate to Cancer Fighters to the Rescue so I can buy a NEW toy for the Cancer Fighters kids. I know they want a present to open this Christmas.

Remember, Kindness starts with you.
