Help Bentley see for the 1st time!

Hello, I'm Ashley and this is a campaign for my 1 year old Basset hound Bentley. I first saw Bentley for rescue on facebook, as I was looking for a companion for my other Basset Forrest. I met Bentley from the Puppys Breath Rescue, and he was such a loving sweet boy who had been surrendered from his previous family because he had cataracts.
After meeting Bentley and seeing how full of life and love he was, I decided to rescue him despite the fact he could not see very well for being so young. Bentley is an amazing companion to Forrest, and has brought so much love into my life. It is my hope I can give him the gift of sight.
I took him to the Ophthalmology Center in Williamston Michigan where they advised me he would be an excellent candidate for cataract surgery. They told me he was born with these cataracts and has not ever been able to see his whole life. The surgery would give him the gift of sight and the cataracts would never come back. I am asking my family, friends, and fellow pet lovers to consider a donation to his cause, which will cost me $3219 for both eyes.  Anything helps, even if it is $5.  Bentley can see some peripheral vision but cannot see anything in front of his face.  Imagine holding a piece of paper in front of you, you would only be able to see the little bit around the paper. That is what Bentley sees.

I will have his surgery in January and post some post surgery videos.
