Benny's Accident Recovery Fund

Donation protected
Hello family and friends!

On July 6, 2017 Benny Hernandez was involved in a rollover accident in his flatbed 18-wheeler while on delivery in Houston, TX. While his cab rolled several times, Benny was thrown from the vehicle which actually saved his life. He sustained multiple lacerations on his face, broken bones in his spine and neck, and a possible collapsed lung.  He was taken to a hospital in Houston and subsequently airlifted to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. The following day he underwent surgery to fuse the bones in his neck and spine and to repair his broken nose and cuts on his face. It has been quite a traumatic and trying time for him and his family, but thanks to the grace and mercy of our Lord God he now has a long road of rehabilitation ahead.

This is is where all his family and friends come in. While Benny fights and works hard to return to a sense of normalcy physically, mentally, and emotionally, it is up to us to support is family during this arduous process.  It goes without saying that there will be great financial need. We believe as a community we can help sustain Benny and his family for as long as it takes for him to recover.

We all know when crisis strikes, bills don't stop coming in! In think the next few weeks what is always due, will come due. While Benny may receive compensation from his employer, it will not take effect immediately and we are trying to help his family keep from falling behind on their financial responsibilities. In addition, while Benny is in Galveston, the need to have family or friends at his side is accruing costs for hotel accommodations, food, and travel. These expenses are not covered by insurance and his family will be paying out of pocket.

We ask that you pray for Benny and his family first and foremost. We also ask you to consider supporting him financially as well. We all know Benny to be the guy who would give the shirt off his back to help someone in need. He is a devoted father and an active member of his church community.  He would be the first to donate and to offer whatever he could to help one of us. Let us rally behind our brother and show him we have his back.

Thank you you for your time and consideration!
