Support Mwebe’s Dream: Music, Service & a Brighter Future
Help Mwebe Julius Join the British Army!
Hi, and thanks for visiting this page!
I’d love to introduce you to Mwebe Julius — an incredibly talented young man from Kampala, Uganda, whose journey from an orphanage to becoming a gifted musician and mentor is nothing short of inspiring.
I first met Mwebe in the orphanage 2014 through Brass for Africa, our charity using music to empower disadvantaged youth. Mwebe excelled as a student, became an apprentice teacher in 2017, and has since been changing lives by teaching and mentoring others in his community. He earned a Distinction in his Grade 8 ABRSM in Bass Trombone and is a fantastic role model and inspiration for many aspiring young brass musicians.
Mwebe has a dream: to serve as a Musician in the British Army’s Royal Corps of Army Music, following the path of four other Brass for Africa alumni. He’s already passed the tough audition and online assessments. Now, he’s been invited to the UK for the final stage: Army selection.
But he needs your help to get there.
We’re raising funds to cover flights to the UK and basic living expenses during the selection process. This is a rare and life-changing opportunity — and even a small contribution can help Mwebe take this incredible step toward a brighter future.
Can you support Mwebe’s journey? A donation, the cost of a coffee or a pint could make all the difference.
Thank you so much for your kindness and belief in what’s possible.
