Help Baby Kylie Lattuca

Hi I'm Mattye McKibben and I am creating this fund raiser to help dear friends of mine RJ & Krista Lattuca and their family as they face an uphill battle with their daughter whose been diagnosed with 3 congenital heart defects and will need emergency surgery at an out of state hospital mintues after birth.

"Dear friend" seems like an understatement when describing Krista she's more than a friend, she helped save my life and lives of countless others in our community. Many of you reading this who know Krista know her God given traits of selflessness. I call her lovingly "a shepard" for the weary on this earth. After knowing her for the last 5 years I've experienced countless selfless acts she's done in both her career as an addiction/life coaching professional and her personal life.

RJ is an electrician and will be taking on side work between now and delivery as an attempt to make ends meat. He is devestated but continues to emotionally support his wife through this time. RJ and Krista have been together through thick and thin for the past eight years and his testimony is a true testament to Gods grace. He is a pillar as a husband and father.

Let me explain a little about what's going on. Her beautiful baby girl Kylie is due 1/6/2024. Everything with the pregnancy was going well until her anatomy scan a few months ago when Kylie was preliminary diagnosed with a rare heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. (D-transposition of the great arteries with ventricular septal

defect.)

Everyone was devastated by the news and as more was revealed about the severity of the baby's heart conditions anxiety over finances began to mount... imagine for one minute being the self-employed (not eligible for state PFL or disability) and hearing this news...

1.) For your baby to have the best chance to survive that you'd need to deliver at a world renowned hospital in Philadelphia.

2.) To make that happen youd have to move down there at 36 weeks pregnant in anticipation of delivery.

3.) Take into account the medical expenses and living expenses alone in that scenario but then also that you have an 13 year old and 5 year old at home as well and a husband with No PTO. (His awsome employer is doing all they can offered PFL and made private insurance options possible AMEN)

4.) Post delivery baby will need open-heart surgery within 48 hours of life, or she will not make it. Kylie will need to be in the hospital recovering for at least a month after initial surgery.

And as if these circumstances weren't enough her mother Karen is going through aggressive cancer treatments. Which leaves Krista with very little familial support to lean on.
