Rescued Boxer puppy DAVEY in ICU- HELP!
Tax deductible
Boxer Angels Rescue was asked if they could help out a sick Boxer puppy that had been pulled from a puppy mill. How could we not step in and help this little guy. He arrived the following morning and very quickly recognized that this little guy was pretty sick. Our foster home immediately took him to her vet, and after a thorough examination determined that he needed a higher level of care.
He was immediately rushed to a specialty emergency hospital where it was determined that he had pneumonia with labored breathing. X-rays showed that the pneumonia was consolidated in both lungs. He was placed in an oxygen tent due to his low oxygen saturation.
He has been in intensive care recieving repiratory treatments, IV fluids, IV antibiotics and continuous monitoring of oxygen level, as well as blood pressure, as he also had a thready pulse. He has a lot of nasal discharge and nasal suctioning is being done every 4 hours around the clock. It is comforting to know that he has medical staff around the clock.
They will be doing blood tests to monitor his white blood count which is very high at this time. They also will be doing more chest x-rays over the next few days.
Preliminary care estimate for his initial stay at the spoecialty hospital is $4,000. Further additinal tests may be done if his condition does not improve over the next several days. This is a significant financial drain on the Rescue's resourses, and we need help for Davey boys care. He is just starting out in life, and certainly deserves this chance. PLEASE take a moment to consider helping Davey and make any donatin you can, no amount is too small. DAVEY NEEDS YOU!!!
