Unidos por la salud de Luis Alberto

Mi nombre es Adriana Nava y estamos recogiendo fondos para cubrir los diferentes gastos médicos para salvarle la vida a nuestro amigo Luis Alberto Rendón. (Ver actualización publicada el 2 de Enero de 2024 al final del texto).

El día 25 de septiembre de 2023, realizando su trabajo de mantenimiento de piscinas en una casa, Luis Alberto Rendón vomitó y se desmayó dos veces. Al caer, por el segundo desmayo, su cabeza se golpeó con el piso exterior de la piscina.

Después de la caída, comenzó a sentir dolor de cabeza e inmediatamente llamó al 911.

Al subir a la ambulancia le prestaron asistencia inmediata. Lo entubaron, había perdido el conocimiento y fue trasladado al hospital Broward Health North ubicado en la ciudad de Deerfield, Florida.

Según el reporte del médico que lo atendió en el hospital, Luis Alberto fue diagnosticado con accidente cerebrovascular isquémico el cual ocurre cuando el suministro de sangre a una parte del cerebro se interrumpe o se reduce, lo que impide que el tejido cerebral obtenga oxígeno y nutrientes. Además se le diagnosticó que tenía Hemorragia Subaracnoidea, es decir sangrado en el espacio entre el cerebro y el tejido que lo cubre. La hemorragia subaracnoidea, es una emergencia médica, generalmente se debe a un vaso sanguíneo abultado que estalla en el cerebro (aneurisma). Puede provocar daño cerebral permanente si no es tratada a tiempo.

Se le han practicado dos procedimientos médicos en el hospital de Broward Health North, el primero el día Martes 26 de septiembre y el segundo el día 03 de octubre.

Luis Alberto estuvo en terapia intensiva desde el 25 de Septiembre al Domingo 15 de Octubre, día que fue trasladado a una habitación. Es importante resaltar que su estado de salud actualmente es aún crítico y continúa hospitalizado.

Queremos destacar que Luis Alberto no había sido diagnosticado previamente con problemas neurológicos y su estado de salud en general era bueno. No sufría de hipertensión , entre otras condiciones médicas.

Considerando que Luis Alberto era el principal generador de ingreso económico de su familia, su esposa María Beatriz y sus dos hijos, en esta oportunidad estamos recaudando fondos para cubrir los diferentes gastos médicos, realizar trámites necesarios, alimentación, entre otros.

Agradecemos de antemano toda la colaboración económica y por supuesto agradecemos sus oraciones para la pronta y completa recuperación de Luis Alberto.

On September 25, 2023, while performing his pool maintenance work at a house, Luis Alberto Rendón vomited and fainted twice. During his second fainting spell, he fell and hit his head on the exterior floor of the pool. After the fall, he began to feel a headache and immediately called 911.

Upon being loaded into the ambulance, he was given immediate assistance. He was intubated, had lost consciousness, and was transported to Broward Health North Hospital located in the city of Deerfield, Florida.

According to the report from the doctor who treated him at the hospital, Luis Alberto was diagnosed with an ischemic stroke, which occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. In addition, he was diagnosed with Subarachnoid Hemorrhage, which is bleeding in the space between the brain and the tissue that covers it. Subarachnoid hemorrhage is a medical emergency, usually due to a bulging blood vessel that bursts in the brain (aneurysm). It can cause permanent brain damage if not treated in time.

He underwent two medical procedures at Broward Health North Hospital, the first on Tuesday, September 26, and the second on October 3.

Luis Alberto was in intensive care from September 25 to Sunday, October 15, when he was moved to a room. It is important to note that his current health status is still critical and he remains hospitalized.

We want to highlight that Luis Alberto had not previously been diagnosed with neurological problems and his general health was good. He did not suffer from hypertension, among other medical conditions.

Considering that Luis Alberto was the main income generator for his family (his wife María Beatriz and their two children) we are currently raising funds to cover various medical expenses, carry out necessary procedures, food, among others.

We appreciate in advance all economic collaboration and of course we appreciate your prayers for the prompt and complete recovery of Luis Alberto.

La Familia Rendón Leañez quiere agradecer a todos aquellos que nos brindaron su apoyo incondicional durante estos momentos difíciles. Luis Alberto ya está con nosotros; su rehabilitación se lleva a cabo en casa. Su diagnóstico el 28 de noviembre indica: Valoración/Plan: Hemorragia subaracnoidea de 160,9. Se está recuperando bien, aunque lentamente, de una hemorragia subaracnoidea de alto grado y de la rotura de un aneurisma cerebral en la arteria anterior del cerebro. Sus cursos clínicos son atípicos; Claramente se beneficiará de una fisioterapia agresiva y de una logopedia tanto para el lenguaje como para la cognición. Respecto al aneurisma, para el 5 de enero se programará un examen de angiografía por resonancia magnética.

The Rendon Leañez Family would like to thank all those who offered us their unconditional support during these tough times. Luis Alberto is now with us; his rehabilitation is taking place at home. His diagnosis on November 28th indicates: Assessment/Plan: Subarachnoid Hemorrhage of 160.9. He is recovering well but slowly after a high-grade subarachnoid hemorrhage and a rupture of a cerebral aneurysm in the anterior artery of the brain. His clinical courses are atypical; he will clearly benefit from aggressive physiotherapy and speech therapy for both language and cognition. Regarding the aneurysm, an angiography examination by magnetic resonance will be scheduled for January 5th.
