Ayudemos a Pam! Hoy queremos contarles la historia de nuestra amiga Pamela, que hoy tiene 42 años, y quien desde hace más de 20 años ha venido batallando una lucha contra la Endometriosis severa. Pamela está necesitando nuestra ayuda para poder volver a vivir y disfrutar a su familia con normalidad. Cuando pensamos en esta enfermedad, no podemos pensar más que en la impotencia que nos ha dado ver a Pamela acostada la mayor parte del día durante los últimos meses y haber compartido su dolor por no poder vivir una vida normal. En Ecuador ella tuvo dos operaciones: la primere en el 2001 y después de haber pasado por 8 doctores el último decide realizar una operación llamada Laparotomía Exploratoria la cual tuvo lugar en el 2013, donde encuentran una Endometriosis que venía desde el intestino afectando a su vez el útero y trompas de falopio. En teoría, la endometriosis debió haber desaparecido después de esa operación.

Pamela no podía quedar embarazada por su condición de salud y luego de 6 años un milagroso tratamiento Invitro hizo posible que naciera Hannah, la niña más dulce del mundo que hoy tiene 5 añitos. En la cesárea , al abrir, se dan cuenta que en realidad que Hannah haya podido vivir en ese útero, solo podía ser obra de Dios. Pamela sufrió una hemorragia interna la cual gracias a Dios fue intervenida a tiempo.

Sin embargo, en los últimos 4 años, ha sentido dolores que no le permiten estar de pie por mucho tiempo. Pensábamos que tal vez era parte de su sistema nervioso, algo de colon irritable, anemia o su sistema Immunológico pero realmente no es así. Nuevamente, los doctores con diagnósticos, exámenes y tratamientos equivocados hasta que en marzo del 2024 un médico caído del cielo llega al diagnóstico final a través de un MRI scan.

La Endometriosis en Pamela está hoy más fuerte que nunca comprometiendo varias partes de su cuerpo. Hoy ha tomado parte del intestino, detrás y dentro del útero, múltiples quistes en la herida de la cesárea, ovarios y cada vez le duele más por eso ya en emergencia, allá donde ella vive en Inglaterra, lo único que optan por administrarle es Morfina pura. Pamela literalmente ha pasado un año entero viviendo un día a la vez, con inflamación de todo el cuerpo y perdiéndose de compartir una vida normal con su hija, es decir sin poder acompañarla a la escuela, o ir al parque con ella, menos aún de poder trabajar por su cuenta y poder ayudar en casa.

Su esposo en los últimos meses ha tenido que modificar sus horas de trabajo para poder cuidar de ella y de Hannah, lo que ha afectado significativamente su economía familiar.

Es por todo esto, que queremos ayudar a Pamela para que según lo sugerido por el médico, pueda ser operada allá de manera urgente y extirpar órganos que la endometriosis tiene tomados y una serie de procedimientos adicionales, pero por sobre todo quitar toda la Endometriosis, en especial la del intestino ya que podría extenderse a más órganos haciendo que esta condición crónica se complique y termine en algo mucho más serio.

Se preguntarán, porqué no ir por seguro? Pamela no tiene seguro privado y el seguro público puede tomarle más de un año en agendar su operación y sabemos perfectamente que para nuestra amiga, el dolor hoy es insoportable. Queremos que Hannah no se pierda de vivir la vida con su mamita y que Jose tenga a su esposa finalmente sana.

Para esta operación, necesitamos llegar a las £17.000 Libras Esterlinas para los gastos de esta Histerectomía, hospital y medicinas. Sabemos que para Dios nada es imposible y que con la ayuda de todos ustedes, podremos ayudar a Pamela y a su hermosa familia a salir de esta situación que hoy les aflige de sobremanera.

Sabemos que Pamela es una mujer valiente y guerrera y necesitamos que recupere su salud y vuelva a brillar!

Pam needs our help! This is the story of our amazing friend Pamela, who is now 42 years old and that for the past 20 years has been battling against a severe case of Endometriosis. She now needs our help to win this battle and be able to enjoy a normal life with her family.

When we talk about this illness, we cannot but think that for the last few months our Pamela spends most part of her day lying in bed with excruciating pain, at times helpless in her wish to have the normal life we sometimes take for granted. She has already been through two operations in Ecuador: the first in 2001 and after seeing over 8 different specialists, it was decided to perform exploratory surgery in 2013 where they discovered Endometriosis again, this time affecting the bowels, womb and fallopian tubes. They proceeded to remove the endometriotic tissue without removing organs and they believed that this would be the end of this.

After the surgeries, and given her condition, Pamela (and Jose her loving and lovely husband) struggled to get pregnant. After 6 years and through an IVF conception, Hannah, the sweetest girl ever, was born! But this came not without grave difficulties: in the C section Pamela suffered serious internal bleeding which fortunately was controlled in time; doctors were amazed to realise that a baby’s survival in Pam’s uterus was nothing short of a miracle, surely the hand of God.

For the last 4 years, abdominal pain returned and has meant that she can’t be on her feet for long. Various options were investigated like issues with her nervous system due to previous surgeries, irritable bowel syndrome or a deficiency in her immune system. This ended in a string of misdiagnosis and treatments that were not appropriate. It wasn’t until March 2024 when an angel disguised as a doctor arranged for an MRI scan which has produced the final and accurate diagnosis.

Her Endometriosis is now more aggressive than ever, taking hold of various organs in her body: her intestines, inside and back of uterus and ovaries along with multiple cysts on the C section scar tissue. The pain is so bad now that the nurses and doctors at the hospital now give her morphine to alleviate it.

For over a year now they live one day at a time, with constant pain and inflammation; not able to live a normal life, missing out on walking Hannah to or from school, go to the park with her, let alone having a job which is greatly needed for the household.

Jose has had to reduce his working hours to be able to look after her and their daughter, which has only worsened their only household income.

It is why we now must help Pamela to enable her operation to go through without any further and detrimental delays. Her condition is getting worse by the day and it is necessary to perform an hysterectomy and remove all endometriotic tissue to avoid further serious and perhaps irreversible complications.

You may wonder why they are not going through the national health system. The only way Pamela got to have the MRI results was through a private appointment with the same consultant after a few months of awaiting for the results from the national healt system at their own cost as they don’t have private health insurance. If they hadn’t they would still be waiting for a diagnosis had they not taken the decision and spent all savings they had to get to this point. Now that it has been diagnosed it is very likely that any possibility of surgery is pushed down for years in the national health system. Her pain is now unbearable, Hannah and Jose also deserve to have her back in good health.

For this surgery it is required to raise £17,000 for operation, hospital care and medicines.

Pamela is a brave woman who has lost her health to this condition. We know that for God nothing is impossible, and with the help of all of you we will be able to give them the opportunity of a healthy life together.
