We are writing to you today to let you know about the tragic loss of Augusto Zarate near Huntington Lake at Fresno County, CA.
As many of you know, Augusto's body was found Saturday 4/10/21 by ground search teams in a remote wooded area after being lost for 6 days.
Our family is devastated with the sudden loss of a father, brother, grandfather, uncle, friend, etc.
He was a very resilient man that overcame many difficulties in life. Born in Ayacucho-Peru, he endured the worst terrorist conflict in 1980s and early 1990, and recently won a battle against cancer. He was a very strong man.
He had a unique sense of humor, and always made people laugh. He will always be remembered.
This fundraiser is to assist Augusto's family with funeral expenses. His last wish was to be buried in his beloved District of Carhuanca in Ayacucho, Peru.
We will be very grateful for every donation. We thank you all in advance for your support during this difficult time.
