Ashley's Lymphoma Medical Fund
Donation protected
Hello!
My name is Kera Wilson. I am starting this Go Fund Me page for my best friend Ashley Reed. We are graduates from Life University Chiropractic College and have recently taken on a new practice (Exciting I know!!)
HOWEVER
Last week, Ashley was experiencing major neck pain, swelling, and started to notice her left arm turning blue. We went to the ER thinking that she had a blood clot somewhere.
After many tests, procedures, biopsies, and a few nights in the hospital, the doctors diagnosed Ashley with Hodgkins Lymphoma. The current recommended treatment for Ashley's Hodgkins is chemotherapy and radiation, which is to start in 2 weeks. In order for her to have both of these treatments, she is also required to have a PET scan, echocardiogram, PFT (pulmonary function test), and a port placement. She has also been recommended to undergo oocyte retrieval (freezing her eggs), as chemo will damage her fertility.
Unfortunately, at this juncture, Ashley does not have insurance. As we all know, medical bills can be extremely costly, especially ones at this magnitude. While Hodgkins Lymphoma is a treatable cancer, without proper chemo and radiation, her prognosis will decline.
I have started this Go Fund Me page to help Ashley with her upcoming medical bills. As stressful as her diagnosis is, the stress of not being able to pay for her treatment is causing more of an uproar. I hope this page will help ease some of her stress during this difficult time.
I appreciate you taking the time to read this, and please keep Ashley in your thoughts and prayers.
