Hi Everyone,
I am not one to ask for help or for hand outs. I usually work really hard for everything I have. But I need help. Any amount of help.
On Wednesday, September 13th I learned that my Papa (Francis) passed away while he was visiting his mother in Nigeria. Needless to say, my family and I have been in absolute shock as we try to negotiate and demand my Papa's body be returned to us from Nigeria. He is a US citizen and we have been getting the run around with the US embassy and Nigerian authorities since his passing.
As you all know I am a freelance artist who has a small studio space and survives solely on the earnings from my work. However, traveling (to Georgia) to be with my mother to sort her personal and financial affairs and make sure all is taken care with my siblings will take me out of work, thus making it extremely difficult to maintain my home and livelihood here in California.
I am asking that whatever you could spare would be a tremendous help to us. I would forever be grateful and when I am in a better state would love to be able to return the favor.
