Arlington Vista Block Party - 2024

We're excited for our upcoming annual Arlington Vista Block Party, which the whole neighborhood is invited to! Because of the street construction throughout the neighborhood, the Block Party will be at Flentie Park.

Last year, our expenses totaled about $1275 (face-painting, balloon artist, live music, bubbles for the kids, snacks, etc.). This year, our expenses will be a bit less, because we've cut out the live music (too pricey). The only way to make this happen is through donations by residents of the Vista.

Give as much or as little as you feel comfortable donating, with us kindly requesting a minimum contribution of $10 per family.

Block Party Details:

Saturday, August 17th from 5-10pm (If you have kids, the AH fire department will bring their truck from 4:30 - 5). Block Party will be right in front of Flentie Park!

Rain date: Sunday, August 18th.

FAQ's:

What happens with any excess funds?

This will go towards making next year's block party even bigger and better, as well as towards other events (Easter Egg Hunt, Ice Cream Social, etc.).

Can I bring friends?

Of course! Please make sure every family contributes to help offset our expenses.

What else should I bring to the block party?

Bring cash for the food truck (same taco truck as prior years) and ice cream truck, lawn chairs to sit on and beverages of your choice!

What if it rains?

Let's hope it doesn't! Rain date is the following day (Sunday, 8/18), but the event might be a little different, since the vendors might not be available the next day.

Can I contribute with Zelle or by dropping of a check?
