EDUCATING A YOUNG CHANGEMAKER

Hi, I’m Izzy and I’m 16 and live in East London.
Help me become a force for positive change.
I am passionate about sustainability and the environment, as well as global politics and the modern world.
I enjoy learning, especially about different people's attitudes and cultures, that I am not necessarily aware of.
I am actively committed to making the world a better place.
I recently found out I got a place at my dream college, the United World College in Costa Rica.
United World College is a movement of 18 international schools around the globe. The UWC mission is to 'make education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future'.
I know that it is the right school for me. It's such an incredible opportunity to learn, about everything and anything. UWC would also allow me to make international links, which I would combine with the change-making skills I learn at this college, enabling me to be that force for positive change.
I also like that I'd study the International Baccalaureate, as I feel this offers a wider education when compared to standard A-Levels.
While I have been offered a 50% scholarship to study, I still need to raise about £14,000, as my family and I are still not able to pay the complete amount.
I really believe in UWC and I hope you can too. :)
Thank you!!
