Anthony McClendon Burn Relief Fund

Anthony McClendon is 15 years old and goes to Joaquin High School. Around 7:30 PM on September 27, 2020, Anthony was making a bonfire in the backyard when a gas can caught fire and exploded onto him. He was airlifted to LSUS trauma center in critical condition. Thanks to the quick work of first responders and medical staff, Anthony is in stable condition in the burn ICU at LSUS. The explosion caused 3rd degree burns to over 50% of Anthony's body, mostly on his torso, legs, and arms. He underwent hydrotherapy to clean the wounds and skin on 09/28 which left him exhausted and in severe pain. In the future, Anthony will be spending the next month or two in the hospital undergoing multiple skin graft surgeries to repair the damage to his body.

Anthony is only 15 years old, he was looking forward to getting his permit soon and playing tennis in the spring. Such trauma has come very unexpectantly for Tasha, Anthony's mom, and the rest of his family. Any donations made will go directly to relieve some of the financial burdens that this trauma has caused in paying for medical bills, food, and bills while Anthony's mom is unable to work full-time due to the needed care for her son. However, most importantly the family is in need of many prayers for a complete and miraculous recovery. We, the family, appreciate your thoughts, prayers, and support during this difficult time more than you could imagine.

Much Love,
Anthony's Family
