Hi everyone, my name is Annie, and I am the owner of Annie’s Jerk That Makes You Twerk. I have successfully been running the business for the last 25 years from different locations, including the Milton Keynes Bowl Sunday market where the business was originally known as Annie’s Cake and Bakes. Alongside this I also had a market stall in Bletchley high street but ultimately I have always sold the food from my home, building up an established customer base who have continued to bring returning custom over many years.

3 years ago I took the plunge and started up a fully fledged shop in the old co-op building in Bletchley and have had an amazing time having my own shop premises. However over recent times, due to growing demand, I have struggled to continue to expand my business in the current shop and am now looking to move to a new location which will allow me to cook on site and provide more of the people’s favourite Caribbean food.

So I am asking everyone to help me out where they can, I would like to raise £5000 which will give me the option of moving to a new premises within Bletchley high street. In turn this will then allow me to cook on site, give opportunity to grow my online presence and build a website to make ordering even easier. This will help us to look after our loyal customers and reduce delivery fees due to not needing to use third party platforms that currently take a percentage of money made. Moving premises will also allow us to potentially open the shop for longer hours/more days per week and give opportunities to college students who have expressed interest in the catering industry. Being able to cook on site will allow me to take the next generation of chefs under my wing and entrust them with the secrets of grandma’s style of Caribbean cooking.
