Tragic loss of Kevin Thompson

Anna Cressman-Thompson and Children suffer tragic loss of Husband & father Kevin Thompson

Our hearts are broken today. A very tragic automobile accident has taken one of the kindest of men, father and husband from a family and community that dearly loved him.

As friends to Anna, my mom and I are compassionately looking for your monetary assistance in helping the young Thompson family continue living after this horrific day that they will never forget. We hope you can help us today in support of Anna and her three young children, Tyler (10), Chloe (8) and Hailey (6) and help with Burial costs, groceries, living expenses including time missed at work and loss of a second income.

On July 4, 2022 just after midday, husband and father Kevin Thompson’s life was suddenly taken from us all in a very tragic accident. This life altering accident affected many but most deeply, Anna and their children. Anna and Kevin had just celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on June 27th surrounded by their three beautiful children. She is now left as sole parent, having to move forward, without Kevin, the love of her life, and raise their children alone.

Covid was hard on many of our lives, Kevin and Anna like many, were both hit hard loosing their jobs ~ Kevin as a construction tradesman and Anna working food service at our local MEME’s Cafe in New Hamburg, where many knew her smile. Anna was first to secure a job in a hospital front line position at Stratford General Hospital in environmental services. It was off-hours, long and strenuous work, but Anna is the epitome of a hard worker. Kevin, being a super dad took on house husband duties, cooking, cleaning and caring for the apples of his eye til he was able to secure work. Hardship and perseverance were taken in stride by these two and they were trying diligently to bring normality back into their family life for the sake of their children.

We personally have always known them to be very loving and caring with their top priority being “family”. Kevin and Anna are also a large part of our community through Plattsville Public School, The Newfoundland Club, volunteering at the Mennonite Relief and New Hamburg Fall Fair and through work. **Please note there will be a memorial dart fundraiser in Kevin’s name - Aug 26-28, 2022

Anna is now left as sole income earner to her three young children. Knowing Kevin and Anna are very close to the heart of many great friends and family we know that everyone wants to help Anna. Kevin would be so proud to hear the support and love everyone is showing to those who meant the very most to him, his family.
