Mountain View Stables is a rescue home for animals that have been left to fend for themselves. Our farm currently houses horses, dogs, pigs, sheep, goats, chickens and ducks. As you can imagine, these animals often require special care and the need never ends. We try to accommodate as many as our facilities will hold.
In addition to traditional farm animals, we have frequent calls regarding wildlife that need assistance including birds, raccoons, geese, ducks, bunnies, etc.
The owner does this all using her own finances but the last few years have been challenging. Covid, health issues and surgeries have made it difficult to manage as a small, volunteer-run business in uncertain economic times.
Mountain View Stables has been part of the Simcoe County community for over 25 years. Trail rides are available to the public all year long, horseback riding lessons, and education on the caring and feeding of all our animals.
Where we need your help. The costs of feeding, housing and vet bills have become overwhelming this year and we require additional funds to continue our rescue mission. As an example, these animals require 24 hour care, feeding, medications, mucking stalls, fencing and the ongoing maintenance of a farm. In addition, extreme weather has resulted in extra property and shelter maintenance this year. Currently everything is done by the owner and some volunteers with love, sweat and tears.
Your donations will help us accomplish all these tasks, but right now hay is our first priority. No donation is too small and we so appreciate any assistance you can afford to provide.
Mountain View Stables is committed to the comfort of these animals and to continue to give the community and visitors to Simcoe County great memories.
Thank you!
