Angela Deyo's 2nd Round Fight
Donation protected
My name is Scott Patrick and this campaign is for a family that has helped me more than they even know. I wouldn't be where I am today if I had not met the Deyo family. Some times you get lucky and meet that one person that has a profound impact on your life. Many times without knowing it.
Dan and Angela gave me the honor of being their first child's Godfather. Shortly after this I was deployed to Iraq. The only Christmas card I ever got from friends and family while I was deployed came from the Deyo family. I still don' t know how they got it to me. When I got back from Iraq and was struggling with civilian life, Dan pointed me in the right direction to my current career on the railroad. They took me under their roof until I got back on my feet. As fate would have it I met my wife while hiring out on the railroad and we now have an amazing son. I would not have any of this if I had never met the Deyo family. Not to mention the countless fishing trips that helped me mentally stablize. They did all this without asking me for anything.
This is all about the Deyo family and their willingness to do anything to help Angela with her fight.
On March 6th 2015 Angela found out she had an aggresive tripple negative breast cancer.
Dan snuck a picture of Angela watching some swans the day they found out about her breast cancer. They were the only two that knew and were trying to prepare to fight the biggest fight of their lives.
Angela refused to let cancer take her hair. So they decided to make the best of the situation and let their three kids Parker, Maddie and Gwen cut her hair.
Angela doing chemo for her breast cancer.
Parker sporting that pink for his mom.
Angela went through chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and radiation, even after the doctor said they didn't need to do radiation. They wanted to know they did everything they could to kick cancer's ass.
During her entire fight with breast cancer, Angela remained one of the most positive people I know. She would not let this disease kill her spirit, and take her away from the most important job she had, being a mother to three amazing kids. Angela always has a way of finding the silver lining, even acknowledging that having no hair during the summer meant it was easier to find ticks.
After a year of painful treatments and surgeries they beat the breast cancer. They barely had time to celerbrate their hard fought victory...
Angela went in for what she thought was a sinus infection only to find out that she had a 3cm size tumor on her brain. She had emergency brain surgery on May 6, 2016.
After a year of fighting and getting by finacially, it's time we step up and help. This is a two income family and in the matter of days they lost half of their income. They have used everything they had in the last year and are in need of some help. I am asking anyone and everyone to please donate what they can to help this family. This family that so many of us have been so lucky to have in our lives. Every little bit counts, and perhaps most importantly share this on your social media accounts. The more people we can reach, the more we can raise to help. The hope is that we raise enough money to alleviate some of the financial stress and keep things stable for their kids. Let's let them focus on getting Angela home and healthy.
The money raised will be to help the Deyo family as they fight their second round of cancer. Also feel free to leave a comment!!!!
