Andrew Diaz's cancer therapy

Donation protected
Andrew Diaz, "Andy", is a Junior at Florida Atlantic University studying Healthcare Administration and minor in Healthcare Information systems. His school involvement consists of competing in intramurals, participating in Owlthon, and a member of Phi Delta Theta Fl Nu. He devotes his spare time to other philanthropies when not engaged in his studies and clubs. His planned graduation term was Spring 2018 and set to begin an internship at a radiology clinic  for Spring 2017 until his future was blindsided by cancer. In late December he was experiencing pain in his upper back and went to see a doctor. Expecting news of a back injury, instead, Andy was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma and is now awaiting proton therapy along with surgery. Synovial Sarcoma is a rare form of cancer and will require extensive treatment. The proton therapy is the first round of treatment followed by a surgery that would require removal of two ribs to reach the cancer. All this is to avoid chemotherapy but is still an option if initial treatments fail. Unfortunately, all of us have friends/relatives who have experienced hardships like Andy's. I have known Andy for three years and he is a hardworking, spiritual, and loyal friend that would not stop helping if this trajedy affected anyone he knew. By donating, you are helping Andy fight back for his future that he has worked too hard for.
