Anabella Runceanu Cancer Fund

After multiple requests from friends and family we decided to share our latest news. We also realised that we always shared our happy memories and that we should do the same in one of the saddest moments... 

In August Anabella bumped her head and had a small lump on her head but no pain, no bruise so we thought it was a normal child head injury. After couple of weeks we noticed that isn't going away and we decided to take Anabella to GP for check up. We then got referred to Oncology Department in Leeds General Infirmary where the consultant told us it's a tumor and Anabella had to urgently take numerous tests and scans.

In September 2021 our beautiful daughter ANABELLA was diagnosed with CANCER (alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma on right temple ) and our world was flipped upside down. Anabella started treatment as soon as possible and had an operation to have her central line fitted and receive chemotherapy.

She has been through so much already in these last few months. Anabella is having to undergo aggressive chemotherapy (in adult doses) for 6 months,  proton beam radiation and maintenance treatment for 6 months. She's already had several cycles, daily medications, weekly blood tests, neutropenia, hair loss, aches and pains and other side effects of the chemotherapy that is really hard on her little body but is needed to kill this cancer cells. 

This has been devastating shock for our family. Our hearts break for our daughter but she is the most amazing little girl, she is so wise beyond her years, the kindest and inspirational child. She is loved by anybody she meets and right now we are living life by second and showering her with all our love.

Soon our family will have to travel to Germany for specialist proton beam radiation (treatment funded by NHS). 

The weight of this is a huge emotionally as well as financially but we want to make sure she will receive the best available treatment. At the same time we worry about everything, from money to medications, appointments, germs, hospital stay and Anabella's mental health. This is just so much on our mind and whilst is all going through our head, we are just trying to remain positive for Anabella.
