Amy McMullin Ovarian Cancer Battle

Hello, my name is Brian McMullin. On behalf of my family, I would like to provide the latest update on the status of Amy’s Ovarian Cancer Battle. It is hard to believe this all started over 7 years ago when Amy had her initial Cancer diagnosis in November 2017. She has experienced remission in the past, but unfortunately, her cancer comes back harder each time. 2024 had its ups and downs but she continues to push through with a mostly positive attitude. She is mentally and physically exhausted but somehow manages to continue to work full-time to maintain her Health Insurance. Amy’s weekly treatments include multiple chemotherapy infusions, various forms of radiation, daily oral medications and injections. The experimental trial treating her inoperable malignant tumors now requires a bi-weekly surgical procedure to keep the tumors from growing. She also has monthly scans to check the progress of her treatments, including a CT scan, PET Scan, MRI, and Bloodwork. Amy’s monthly copay costs are $800 for scans, $1000 for surgical procedures, and $450 for oral medications cost.

The treatments are taking a toll on her body, especially her teeth. The medications and chemotherapy over the years have had a drastic effect on her teeth with most of them needing some sort of treatment. Anyone that knows Amy, understands her severe anxiety regarding anything dental and with no dental insurance, the costs are extremely high. Her teeth are breaking and very soft. The total amount to fix all her teeth will be over $17,000. She has had several root canals but still needs several more. Between her monthly medical and dental expenses, we are having a hard time ensuring she has enough money for her treatments. We are starting another GoFundMe to help her through this year.
