Air Purifiers For Our Kids at RMS
Donation protected
Dear RMS Families,
Children are especially at risk for health effects from exposure to wildfire smoke and ash, mostly because their lungs are still growing. The Alameda County's Guidance for Childcare Programs during COVID-19 and Poor Air Quality Conditions recommends that portable air cleaners are used when AQI is higher than 100.
We are fortunate to have the Rockridge Montessori School continue safe operations during this very challenging year. The school has incurred significant unexpected expenses since March and does not ask for support outside of tuition fees.
Several RMS families came together with the idea to support the school and invite families to contribute towards a Medical Grade Air Purifier for each classroom at RMS. We are a community of 125 families, if we all contribute $42 per family, we can purchase one unit for each class room (Robins, Sparrows, Quails, Hummingbirds, Bluejays, Doves) plus one for the teachers lounge.
Our goal is to raise $5,150 for seven (7) Austin Air System medical-grade purifiers with good clinical study data for removing bacteria and aerosolized viruses larger than 0.1 micron (including COVID-19), as well as gases, chemicals, VOC’s and formaldehyde. It is the best choice for people exposed to smoke from wildfires.
Would you consider contributing $42 or more before October 12th? Any funds above our target will be distributed to the school.
Thank you for your contribution!
Krassy Hofmann, on behalf of RMS Families in Robins and Sparrows
