Aid Jexada's Family During This Crisis

Here is the story: Lafayette police are investigating a shooting that has left a juvenile in critical condition.

Officials said today, around 7:30 p.m., officers from the Lafayette Police Department were dispatched to the 500 block of Saucier Parkway following a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officials located a juvenile who had sustained gunshot wounds. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in critical condition.

Jexada Francis is a mother of 2 beautiful daughters. Jexada was not expecting these unfortunate circumstances that occurred. She will not be able to work and be hands-on with her baby as she would like. She’s in Baton Rouge with her 6-year-old daughter who’s in critical care and may need support beyond 6 months.

We are asking for support, no matter how small, to help her in this battle to recover.
