Help Rose Fowler with Baby David’s Medical Needs

This fundraiser is for Elizabeth “Rose” Fowler and her infant son, David.

Hey, many probably are unaware just yet but baby David is having some troubles. When he was born he had a little trouble with sucking. They thought he had gotten the hang of it before being discharged. But he’s continued to have problems with his breathing off and on. His Dr believed it was just the issues he had before and nothing serious. Tuesday evening he began having more trouble breathing and Rose took him to the ER when it didn’t stop. Oconee kept him most of the night and transferred him to Greenville early Wednesday morning. Since arriving in Greenville he’s had an NG tube for feeding because they realized he’s aspirating(going into his lungs) on his formula. He’s continued to aspirate with the tube so they moved it lower. Yesterday they tried letting him feed some but he continues to have problems. They’re doing an MRI today to see if they can determine more about what may be happening and the cause.

Rose had just returned to work the week before from maternity leave. She had a reduced salary while out. She’s had vehicle issues off and on for months also. Now she’s having to miss work again to be with the baby, plus it’s expensive to maintain away from home everyday. We’re still unsure what treatment the baby needs or how long he’ll be in the hospital.
