Hi, my name is Tonya Johnson, and I am raising funds for my husband, Carl Johnson.

Last Thursday night, during what was supposed to be an exciting championship flag football game, Carl’s life changed instantly. A serious hit left him with multiple facial fractures, extreme swelling, and concerns about possible vision loss. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital and later transferred to a trauma center due to the severity of his injuries. He is currently in the hospital undergoing facial surgeries and receiving ongoing treatment.

Carl is well-known and loved in the flag football community. Anyone who knows him knows his heart for the game, his leadership, and the way he shows up for others. This injury has devastated him physically and emotionally, and it has taken him away from the sport he loves so deeply.

Because Carl cannot work right now, our family is facing a heavy financial strain. We have two small children at home and are expecting our third baby soon. I will be receiving the funds directly and using them to cover Carl’s medical bills, travel to and from the trauma center, follow-up care, prescriptions, recovery needs, and our household expenses while he heals.

Seeing my husband in this condition has been incredibly hard, but the love and support from our community has meant everything. Every donation, prayer, and share helps lighten the load on our family during this unexpected and difficult time.
