Aid a Nurse Battling Autoimmune Diseases

Hello my family and friends!

I am here to BEG your guys to help me pay my medical bills that are slowly crushing me.

PLEASE HELP ME. I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT TO DO!

As most of you know, I have been a nurse for 12 years. I was ALWAYS the one there fighting and advocating for hundreds of people. However I'm horrified to say now I am the one who REALLY needs the help.

In 2019, while caring for a unresponsive COVID patient, he turned his head towards me and gave a big cough in my direction. I had a mask on so I shrugged it off at the time and finished his care and left the room. To make a really long story short, the COVID ended up triggering 2 permanent autoimmune response in my body, RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS and MYOSITIS. To make things clear, these diseases don't just damage your joints, it attacks everything in the body! Since 2019 I have been fighting RA and Myositis where it has destroyed my elbows, caused COMPLETE arthritis in my hands, damage to both knees, both ankles, both feet, all toes, both shoulder, knees, and skin. Now with the Myositis causes pain and swelling throughout my body including difficulty grabbing things and lifting up and putting down things, bending, issues walking (depending on severity I have to have to use a cane, walker, or wheelchair). Believer it or not, my diseases have affected MY TEETH and have caused BOOTH loss and damage. My diseases cause multiple places to swell! My knees, ankles, toes, wrists, fingers. As for my skin, it turns ALL RED all over the burns if I stay in the stay sun or in a room that's too hot.

At this point in my life, I reluctantly applied for Disability. It was a over a 3 year Application term with NO JOB (so I had no income) and with everything I had and so many wonderful people with their care, I won my disability case!

I was so ecstatic but there was a large issue that comes with getting Disability. Sure, if you can win your payback sum you will get back a little bit of your back pay money to use to some of the dollars you owe at this point in your disability journey. Can you live on 3years backpay and hopeful you will work again?

So now I am being thrown back into the fire!! NO ONE can live life on 3 years of work payments. My plan is to go try and go back to work again, but with being a nurse it will take years of physical therapy to move properly and without pain. Another is finding an autoimmune disease medicine that actually works, which at minimum have to try a medicine over three months to find if it works. Overall it can take years to find a medicine that works.

OVER NOTHING SO FAR!!!

I now also get CATATONIC episodes that averages 1-2 a month. They are random and there are no preemptive things I can do to get ahead of them. These hospital costs are beating me down. I also have Narcolepsy....so try mixing that with Catatonia! LOL

I have a lot of falling issues related to the Myositis weakness and even with the walker. Just last month I few 30times, 2 of them resulted in broken toes. More bills. Lost 2 teeth due to myositis and RA costing THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.

So here I am. Sitting at home. My bills are filling up my mailbox. I'm at a loss at what to do. My savings are gone. My parents and brother have tried their best to help me. But they have their own bills too. I'm not going to get into disability work law but I will say this; I dont know how anyone is supposed to live like this. I get $24 for food per month. At least I'll get skinny this month!

Please, please, everyone...please help me with my monthly bills. I am trying so hard to return to work but it will take time.
