Help elect Adrian Curran for Galway City Central
Donation protected
Adrian is a community and housing activist from Westside. He is a mature student at University of Galway, in final year of studying Economics, Sociology & Politics. Prior to returning to education, he worked in a medical devices factory for a decade.
He has been a key activist in Galway campaigns on housing, cost of living, environmental issues and workers' rights. He has supported workers on strike and tenants facing eviction.
In order to fight back, we need to build people power. If elected, Adrian will use his platform to fight for change in the interests of ordinary people.
Priorities:
- Establish a state construction company to build affordable public homes on public land. Oppose all sales of public land to private developers.
- Directly employ council workers to bring vacant homes back into use and carry out maintenance and retrofitting.
- Tackle Galway’s traffic nightmare and reduce emissions with expanded public transport, safe cycling & walking infrastructure.
- Protect our green spaces and stop sewage discharges into our waterways.
- Good quality public services. Bring bin collection back into public control.
- Oppose racism and all forms of discrimination.
People Before Profit is not a big establishment party. We don’t have millionaire backers. My campaign will be run completely on the hard work of local activists with the help of your donations.
What will my donation be used for?
This GoFundME will be used to fund my 2024 Local Election campaign. It will go to pay for the day-to-day things like leaflets, posters and zip-ties, and banners.
Legal notes: Donations over €100 cannot be made anonymously. Donations must be made by residents of Ireland or Irish citizens (or both) – by donating to this GoFundMe you are confirming that you meet these criteria.
