We get hundreds of pleas a week begging us to intake abused and neglected dogs from the shelters and off the streets. With saying yes, there are so many medical expenses that come with that. On average, a basic work up for a healthy dog costs us $200. We spend an average of $1,200 on each dog treating them for the various ailments they come to us with (parvo, mange, heartworms, surgeries, etc). We have recently had 5 heartworm dogs ($400 each), many dogs without a foster which leads to boating costs (thousands of dollars), work ups, surgeries, follow ups, etc. We are on the verge of having to completely close or doors and are reaching out for help to pay our bill down! We currently owe about $7,500. We are hoping to reach half of that to make a substantial payment to our vet. Please consider donating- even $1 goes a long way!
