AID LEBANON APPEAL

Dear friends,

The world was shocked and saddened by the horrific explosion that struck Beirut on August 4. This disaster has severely impacted the Lebanese-Armenian community with many casualties and injuries, and with a devastating impact on both community, cultural, educational and religious institutions, as well as Armenian homes and businesses.

The Armenian community of the United Kingdom extends its deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wishes those injured and impacted a fast recovery.

The UK Armenian Community Emergency Management Committee (ACEMC), with representation from many institutions and organizations from the UK Armenian Community, is now undertaking a coordinated fundraising effort to provide aid to the Lebanon Armenian Community from their friends in the UK. We encourage and urge you to support this critical undertaking and give generously.

All donations will be transferred to a centralized body under the auspices of His Holiness Aram I which is composed of all the leading religious, political and philanthropic organizations of the Lebanese-Armenian community. The funds collected will be used to provide daily necessities, food, shelter and medical attention to the thousands in need.

Please note that, on donating, you will be prompted to provide a tip by the GoFundMe platform, similar to other fundraising platforms. You are not obligated to do so.
