Cameron’s recovery

Donation protected
Dearest friends and family,

My name is Ashley and I’m the mother of three beautiful boys. Anyone who knows me know that I wear my mother title like a badge of honor. My boys are my entire world.
On Friday, September 15th, at approximately 5pm my worst nightmare became a reality. I received a call from the police that no mother ever wants to experience. My 17 year old son was involved in a traumatic car crash and is being rushed to the closest hospital. Cameron, my baby boy, was driving home from school when he lost control of his car and hit a tree right in front of our neighborhood. I was devastated and my heart was shattered. I was working from home at the time of the accident and couldn’t believe that my baby was within a block away from me and unknowingly I wasn’t there to save him.
The accident resulted in severe damage, including serious brain injuries.
Yet, amid this harrowing ordeal, Cameron's spirit and strength still shines through, a testament to his unwavering determination and will. My baby is a fighter and even in his darkest time he is still fighting.

Since that day, Cameron has endured emergency surgeries and continuous medical interventions. The doctors reached a point where there was nothing more that they could do to prevent further damage. So, as Cam’s mother, I made the decision to pull him off all medication and allow him to fight this battle like the fighter that I know he is. This decision allowed him to become stable but his medical providers fear that his brain damage has resulted to him being permanently disabled or brain dead. We were able to confirm that he still has blood flow to the brain but we are still unsure what his recovery path will look like. The financial burdens have already begun to amass, and the road to recovery stretches long and difficult before us. But within this struggle, we have faith in miracles—the faith that, with the right support and resources, Cameron can reclaim a semblance of the life he cherished before this tragic accident.

Cameron, my son, is a remarkable soul, a seventeen-year-old with boundless aspirations, a deep reverence for God, and an unwaivering love for his siblings and family. He revels in the camaraderie of "The Pack," both on and off the field, embodies academic excellence as a senior honors student, and embraces roles as both a little and big brother, a son, a beloved nephew and friend. He strives for higher education and a future as a Marine Biologist—a testament to his ambition and the promise of his future.

As we stand together in constant prayer in this challenging moment, I want everyone to remember the incredible young man that Cameron is, the depths of his potential, and the profound impact he can have on our world. Your support, be it emotional or financial, is a beacon of hope on this long journey towards recovery and restoration.

Thank you to every donor who will come across this page, and bless us and who will play a crucial part in my son’s recovery.

With heartfelt gratitude for your compassion and solidarity,
