Lustra Animal Rescue, established in November 2025, began with a heartfelt mission to save the lives of kittens and cats in our community. My friend and the team at Lustra have dedicated themselves to providing shelter and care for dozens of cats, prioritizing mothers and kittens when space is limited. Their compassion has made a real difference for so many animals in need.

Recently, one of their beloved yard cats, Haze, went missing after being spooked—likely by someone in the area. When Haze finally returned, he was in terrible shape: broken, abused, and clearly suffering. He was so frightened that he hid in a drain pipe, making it difficult for the team to reach him. After a tense rescue, they rushed him to the emergency vet, where it was discovered that Haze had an infected broken jaw, spinal injuries, and signs of trauma that were most likely caused by a human. The vet is still awaiting the results of his CT scan, but Haze’s injuries are severe and require immediate, ongoing care.

Funds raised will go directly toward Haze’s emergency vet care, surgery, and ongoing treatment, giving him the best chance to heal and return to safety. Your support will also help Lustra continue their vital work for other vulnerable cats and kittens.
