Our dear friend, Chris Bachmann, recently suffered a stroke and a heart attack, an unexpected event that has completely changed life for him and his family.
As he focuses on healing and rehabilitation, he is facing significant financial challenges due to medical expenses, ongoing treatment, and time away from work. The road to recovery after a stroke and his illness can be long and difficult, and right now, our hope is to ease some of the financial burden so that Chris can concentrate on what matters most—his health and recovery.
Anyone who knows Chris knows that he is a kind, caring, funny and generous person who has always been there for others. Now, it's our turn to be there for him. Please see his own story…
Dear friends,
I am writing to share an update on my health and to ask for your support during a difficult time.
For those who don't know, I suffered a stroke on June 8, 2025, while working in the Hamptons. After being treated at Southampton Hospital and Stony Brook Hospital, including a week in the ICU, I faced a long recovery. Months later, I still did not feel well, though I tried to convince myself and others otherwise. In September, after attempting to return to work, I suffered a heart attack.
Following the heart attack, I experienced persistent body aches and chronic neuropathy in my legs and feet. Additional testing revealed a tumor on my adrenal gland. Because medication cannot resolve this, I will need surgery to remove the entire gland. In addition to these physical challenges, I have been dealing with depression and am currently in therapy. It has been an incredibly difficult battle, and I encourage anyone facing depression to reach out for help.
Due to these health problems over the past 13 months, I can no longer work a full-time schedule or be on my feet for more than three days a week. Because of these physical limitations, I had to resign from my summer position in the Hamptons as a production and music manager and decline multiple other DJ opportunities.
As a result of only being able to work part-time, my medical and personal bills have continued to pile up, and I will need additional time to recover after my upcoming surgery. I have never asked for financial help before, but I am in a position where I truly need it now.
Thank you for your support. I promise everyone I will be back to doing what I do best and making you all dance.
Best,
Chris Bachmann
